The beginning
Tekna Impact, LLC, initiated operations in 1999 as Impact Label Printing. The company was known, simply, as ILP. Its founders, Ernesto González and Rory González, began operations with only 3 people: a press operator, an administrative assistant, and Ernesto as the leader. Printing pressure-sensitive labels and stickers, they found that the "maquiladora" or manufacturing industry in McAllen had a substantial need for local supplies with the flexibility to adapt to last-minute changes, rush orders, etc.

Carla Trejo
Director of Sales & Marketing
I’m passionate about connecting people, ideas, and solutions in ways that create real impact. I thrive on building meaningful relationships, exploring creative strategies, and turning vision into action.
At Tekna Impact, I serve as Director of Sales & Marketing, focusing on driving growth, strengthening client partnerships, and creating strategies that elevate our brand across Mexico and the U.S. I believe that authenticity and perseverance are key drivers of success — when we lead with both, we not only reach our goals but also build long-lasting trust with our clients.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially when traveling or doing activities that involve exercise.
For me, maintaining a balance between my personal and professional life is essential — it allows me to stay grounded and true to myself while pursuing ambitious goals.

Sergio Velasco
Global Supply Chain Senior Manager
With more than 20 years of leadership experience in supply chain management, logistics strategies, vendor relationships, and U.S.–Mexico cross-border processes, I focus on creating systems that improve visibility, reduce costs, and elevate service levels across global networks.
My career highlights include leading transformation projects that strengthened operations and brought measurable results to diverse industries. At Tekna Impact, I help clients achieve efficiency and competitiveness through innovative labeling solutions tailored to their needs.
I value collaboration and the challenge of building resilient supply chains that adapt to change. Outside of work, I enjoy quality time with my family—whether cooking together or enjoying conversations—as well as walking, fishing, listening to music, and sharing laughter with friends.

Juan Porras
Warehouse
With a background in Computer Science (Systems Engineering) and over 25 years of experience as a Materials Coordinator and Warehouse Supervisor, I bring extensive expertise in inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations.
Warehouse & Inventory Management: Skilled in maintaining accurate control of raw materials and finished goods to ensure availability, efficiency, and compliance with client requirements.
Shipping & Receiving: Experienced in verifying purchase orders, receiving materials, and coordinating the shipment of all client orders with accuracy and timeliness.
Logistics Coordination: Responsible for monitoring delivery dates of released orders, reviewing client orders in the system, and working closely with production teams to resolve pending items and guarantee on-time delivery.
Beyond my professional career, I value time with my family and enjoy carpentry, comic books, and going to the movies.

Sergio González
Global Account Director
With more than 15 years of experience at Tekna Impact, I help Fortune 500 companies meet their pricing and quality goals by providing reliable and innovative labeling solutions. My expertise spans industries such as automotive, medical, food, electronics, and retail, where precision and efficiency are key to success.
Throughout my career, I have focused on aligning high-quality manufacturing processes with customer needs, ensuring both performance and value in every project. With 11 years in the company and over 25 years of experience in purchasing, planning, and sourcing within the maquiladora industry. Based in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, I support clients in achieving cost metrics and optimal inventory levels through strategic supply chain plans.
At Tekna, we specialize in producing a wide range of labels for industries such as automotive, medical, food, electronics, and pet products. My professional journey has been defined by developing effective strategies, ensuring operational excellence, and building strong partnerships with clients.
I am passionate about helping companies meet their goals with efficiency and care. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, singing, dancing, and reading.

Business Development Manager

I am responsible for overseeing all customer orders and ensuring that every detail — from entry to delivery — is handled with accuracy, efficiency, and a focus on client satisfaction. My role involves coordinating smooth day-to-day operations, serving as a key link between customers and internal teams, and managing the Accounts Receivable department to support both client relationships and financial performance.
